Cnoc Uaine (gaelic for Green Hill named after the original farm the house is built on) is a beautiful unique house, hidden in the trees on the Scottish highlands.  With an exceptional view over the Cromarty Firth to Ben Wyvis (the second highest Munro), a stay with us will whisk you away into a magic, peaceful, idyllic surrounding, while at the same time being 13 miles from Inverness (the Highland capital), and keeping the attractions of the Black Isle and surrounding area on your doorstep.

For those who don’t know the 'North' so well, there is something for everyone.  If you are a hill walker of any level of fitness or ability, there is Aviemore close by (also good for skiing until mid spring), Fyrish to be discovered, and Cairngorm National Park, with the Reindeer and Osprey centres, as well as numerous Faerie Glens, and countryside walks and rambles.  For those of you who are keen on animal and bird watching, you could not pick a better spot than to sit on the private patio, and watch the red kites wheel, and the roe deer picking their way through the fields below.  For the adventurous, there are dolphin watching and fishing tours that are a stones throw away, and vantage points from shore if you would prefer not to get your feet wet!

Finally, for cyclists, although with 2 wheels, you could go most places, if you are a mountain biker, you should try Learnie Red Rock Mountain Bike Routes.  16 km of marked trails for all abilities just 9 miles away.

Cnoc Uaine, in itself offers an experience.  With an independent access, and travel cot and pull out bed, it is perfect for individuals, couples, and young families.  We like you to feel at home, so there is the freedom to roam the gardens, and talk to the chickens (good when you want the eggs for the morning), and we are a pet friendly house, so you are more than welcome to bring mans best friend with you!  As if this is not enough, the walk in wet room and sauna, for the exclusive use of guests, is an experience in itself.

Breakfast is for you to pick, whether you are a cereal and porridge lover, ready for a full Scottish breakfast, or perhaps keen on a little smoked salmon and scrambled free range eggs from the lady's, there is something for everyone, and we are here to make sure you have a memorable and enjoyable stay with us.
